City improvements and details
Hello!
I'm working to the first cutscene but first i need to improve the city (and my artist / pixel art skills) and make it bigger and beautiful.
To be more fast on the making of the map i'm creating some tiles (as i do for the ground sprites) and re-use them in different shapes.
Until now there are only 2 variants of bricks / buildings that i can build.
Currently i added to the city scene the parallax background and one more layer of background to get a better effects (for example as the previous mountain scene in particular the hills. But this time instead of the hills i'm using highrises)
There are two ambient light texture too now ( a simple gradient made from blue > transparent and another of yellow > transparent ) to make the sky night effect and the city lights from far distance too.The yellow gradient is applied to the parallax background instead of the blue night gradient that is applied in the first layer (z-index) so it can covers the entire scene sprites and filter them.
I made some tests too about road lamp / lights and the effect given is not that bad.
